Shiny! What was your reasoning for going with the nut and screw hardware rather than the push pins?

From looking at the parts diagram. It lists screws for the method of attachment so I went with what Honda has listed. The only problem is that they don’t list the well nuts in their diagram so I had to rely on another member who posted in this thread to educate me on that one. I’m glad I went this route though. With a little blue Locktite dabbed onto the bolts, I feel confident about the panels staying put. The push pins come out too easily for my liking in this case.

These are the parts my dealer ordered to add the panels to my base model 1000-5. I only see the Clips listed there. Does that match what you're seeing, or is that the missing part you need?

updates?

1. did they come in?
2. What color were they?
3. was this all the panels including the hood/fenders/doors

super curious :)

thanks!

Where did you get the black panels, link?

***** DO NOT ORDER the rear door panel set ending in HL4-A10ZC. I mistakingly ordered these and they are the Honda Red color. I returned them and correctly ordered the rear door panels ending in HL4-610ZA (Chaos Black). You will have to select the 2019 model year for these panels.

I ordered door panels 3 weeks ago for my 1000-5. They are on back order so I did not research how to properly install them. Came across this thread by accident this morning. As always, this place comes through with the right info.

I wouldn’t get the well nuts from Amazon because they’ll hold the panels on but I’m not very confident in their structural integrity. If you have a place nearby that has them on the shelf, I would buy there. The ones that I got from Amazon are some cheap, thin rubber Chinese parts that I pulled the brass through a few times getting them snugged down. Some of the threads weren’t machined well either, making it impossible to get the bolts in deep enough to pull the brass.

I can’t seem to get the instructions to come up when I click on the link. What am I doing wrong? I got my green side panels in today and want to install them. Thanks
Where did you get the green panels?! And how did the color match? I have a '21 1000-5 base.

I thought I had read that someone found the green ones, for a '16 technically, on Partzilla or some other website?
