Had some shiny new parts waiting at home when I came back from my work trip this evening. The @RB3offroad / J Sport SxS rack is a CNC work of art! I can't wait to get it installed and tested out.

Ordered the @RB3offroad rack this morning from J-Sport. I should have the seals, joints and rack by the end of the week so I can get the car back in shape for the next race April 17th. I also ordered a new Honda Racing OEM aluminum front bumper. It got torn up pretty good the first race of the season, but I can't bring myself to replace it with anything heavier, so OEM aluminum it is. Hopefully I don't have to buy one of these every couple races. 🤣

Pulled the headlights and buckets last night in an attempt to make the car even lighter. I'm running out of things to cut off or replace with lighter stuff. Going to need to do motor mods sooner than later.

How did you get your machine so low?
Also what width is it?

When I called George White at Double E Racing and talked to him about my shock package for racing I told him I wanted to run it as low as possible and he set them up with the proper spring and valving combo to accomplish it. Car handles absolutely amazing and the suspension soaks up everything I throw at it. Dude is SxS Shock Jesus.

Car is stock Talon R width and has 15x8 wheels all around with 0 offset (4+4). Front is just a hair over 77" outside to outside of tire. It's a little narrower in the rear. I don't use spacers because it helps the car to turn in better.

I installed the new rack along with the Raceco rack mounting brace in the car last night, installed the new U-joints and tack welded the caps today and got most of it back together. I'll finish up in the morning and get started on changing the oil and filters.

JTW is gone? Thank god! I was so tired of hearing KRX as the answer for everything... If I wanted a ******* boat anchor with a rubber band for a tranny I would have bought one. Guy got old real quick.

I like the old Powerstroke! Kinda miss mine like that sometimes. They sound so good!!
I love that PS too! Had a 95’ just like it! Had 285k on it when i got rid of it. The rocking back in forth at start up had a real BA to it!

Thanks for the compliments guys.

The truck is a 97 that I bought off the original owner almost 7yrs ago. It had 124,000 miles on it when I bought it and just hit 160k a week or so ago. I drive my company truck most of the time and only use my truck when I need to pull one of my trailers and it's Friday nice weather trips to work. I plan on keeping that truck for a looooooooooong time.
