I bought my P5 with 100 miles on it and never thought much of the piece of steel mounted to the bottom of the frame. I just put 26X10 tires on the front and they rub at full turn. I got underneath and started looking at the frame and I'm certain the previous owner added the pieces you see in this pic. It definitely doesn't look like anything installed from the factory. Maybe an under side plow mount? What does yours look like under there?

That is not OEM as sold. I would agree it is a universal plow mount bracket.

Here is my P500 underbelly right off the showroom floor with 26x9x12 tires.

Thanks @JACKAL ! That crap is gone tomorrow.
You are welcome, I highly recommend full skids when you can swing it, will protect floorboards much better. Here is the SSS brand full set, compare to above.

Piston, didn't you post a vidio of getting hung up on a log?
And here all this time I thought it was a driver problem!

Ok, I searched it, you whent around the mound in the trail.
Now you can go back and attack it.
And your sand drag time will improve with the weight reduction.

LOL Good memory @lee . I was also thinking about all of the times I got hung up in the snow. This year I'll have a smooth plastic sled down there. I bet I can glide through snowy fields like a gazelle now!

I used to have a 1st generation Honda Insight.
It had a full plastic belly pan to improve the airflow under the car.
It would glide over small snow drifts in the road - suddenly the tire noise would go quiet.

One day on the way home from work I got too ambitious.
Car stopped mid drift.
The tires where just a few inches off the pavement.
Sat in the middle of the road waiting for a tow truck.
No other cars where dumb enough to be out there.

Hey Jackal,
On your SSS skidplate you have slots under the engine, mine does not have those slots. Did you cut them yourself or did it come like that?
Jim
That is exactly how they come, with the slots. That was in August 2015 when I bought them.

It's not as big as it probably looks in that pic... maybe 2 feet long.
Is there a name on It? Must be some sort of universal kit.... Swisher maybe?
