I hope I can post a voice memo here. This started about a week ago and it’s not suspension related. And I can’t figure out a rhyme or reason as to when it does it. But it does it frequently. Sometimes it low sounding and only last a second, sometimes last a few seconds and is very loud. Voice memos don’t do it justice. Hopefully someone knows what it is! It’s actually more of a chirping sound but can last for a couple seconds!

Well I can post a picture but I can’t seem to find out a way to post a Voice Memo, copy and paste won’t. HELP! (iPhone 8 iOS 12.1)

I suspect it’s the box. It’s adjustable where it latches

Wow!!!!!! You are correct when I pop the latch it makes thats noise. I jumped up and down on the bumper and didn’t hear anything which is why I thought it wasnt suspension related. Is there a perfect lube point for that or just spray the latch area?

Genius you are MISTER pusher!

I’ve had a couple P1k5’s to get of squeaks out of lol. I wasn’t going to guarantee that was it but that one is the highest pitch squeak.
You will see the latch on the box adjust them up just a little bit, hard to get just right where box still closes good but that is the best way I found. Some are putting tape in that area or other methods which work good but need to be replaced every once in a while.
Tighten those and go for a ride see if that’s it if not there are a couple other areas to check

It sure would be a LOT easier for me if could just drive cross country and drop in to take care of it for me??? I could and would throw in an oil change to give you more incentive?? Come on, what else do you have to do for the next couple weeks?

If I could ever win the lottery I’d love to roll around the country doing anything Sxs related.:) Money and time at the same time would be something awesome

Oops! Calling mister pusher, dialing mister pusher (could say Mister Cummings...but ya know...sounds like a Porno Star!)

So that’s why this noise stumped me as I have two different noises that started at the same time believe it or not. This other sound that’s the long one and high pitched is exactly like a belt slipping. Of course there is no belt but that’s what it sounds like, like when you crank up a gas truck in the morning and the pulley is loose and the belt slipping. Pretty close to that. Any clue?

I’m out and about doing my nighttime rounds on my 30 acres to try to catch some hunters because they always come in from out of town and totally ignore my no trespassing signs in bear season and do what they please! But they are not a match for my night vision and Infared equipment.

Yep yep, yep sir, I’m totally stealth....well, except for the noise coming from this FREIGHT TRAIN bouncing around on my trails that can be heard for miles and miles...

Lol.
Is it continuous? When does it get more/less? Change with brake pressure?

Seems like does it on turns or when an heavy action is taking place. To say just driving along straight, making slight turns on curves, upshifting down and up going straight, you don’t really hear it.

But when you’re doing hard maneuvers, like reversing on a turn, making a hard turn going down a steep incline, when there’s some kind of a heavy action taking place more so than just driving with very little effort.

And it’s LOUD.

have you checked the brake calipers and made sure nothing is stuck in them does it squeak going over bumps or anything like that

No, it’s definitely not suspension or brake related. That’s very easy to diagnose. It’s more of a tranny type sound if I had to narrow it down, but it’s power train related.

How do I post a voice recording or sound recording?

I can get on the rear bumper and jump up and down or get on the side and rock it like crazy and there’s no sound at all. The sounds only start when the engine is running and you’re moving

Yes I can. But when I thought the problem was solved originally I erased all of the audio recordings lol. So next time I’m on it I will record again.

One of the members here was so kind to p.m. me his cell number so I will send him the recording first and if by chance he’s unable to be recognize it I will post here!

Prolly talking out my rump here, but I saw a post from a guy who had an annoying squeak, and it was his front pinion seal. He loosened up the diff, gave it a smack, and Presto! Good luck!

That was actually MY post you read! But you got a few of the details mixed up. What I SAID was that my wife has an annoying squeak and it was from her front mouth not being sealed. So I tried to loosen her up a bit, but she seemed indiff to it, so I gave her a good smack and presto!!! Worked like a charm :)
