The in/out control rocker switch is sticking- I release it and it continues to spool in or out cable. How do I fix it without replacing? It seems mechanical- it does not snap back to the middle position.

Spray it with electrical cleaner maybe? Any ideas?

They can be taken apart. It's not too hard but there is a few small peices and springs.
Here is a few pics of 2 different versions.

I just had to replace one sent with my inferno heater in less than a year. I went online and bought a new switch. Buy a Carling, it's made in the USA. A lot of boating sites and Zoro.com carry them.
A fair amount of the Carling switches of that style are actually made in Mexico. Which is much better than the china knock-offs.

Spray it with WD40. We do with electrical connections and switches and relays on roof top HVAC’s that get stuck. But if its a cheep China Joe or Illegal mexican style, toss it and get you an OTRATTW style. There high quality and they sell them in the club store or there on line store if u want more variety of switches. Mine have been through hell and back still going 4 yrs strong. Made in USA
