My dealer told me that they expect parts to arrive between april 3rd and 5th. Hope I get to pick up by the 8th. I guess I'm 1 of 7 who are waiting to pick up their new rig at my dealer

I just spoke with American Honda and they do not have a date yet. He said the parts are expected the middle of April. CPSC has not issued a recall yet.

Put money down on a 2018 1000-5, they told me they have 20 sold and sitting out back waiting for the recall parts. Honda told them inventory will be fixed first then customers. Said could get one part or twenty, they get what Honda gives them they said. Mid April for parts is what they are expecting. This can’t be good for Honda coming into spring.

Not at all! I'd be pumping out parts as soon as possible if I was Honda. But we all know Honda they take their sweet ass time to come out with anything. That Makes there machines dependable as hell though!

I really wonder where the units that have failed were stored, ours in the shop, only time Rooster sits out is on rides.

Some folks leave them outside. I’ve never stored my machines in weather exposed to elements they rust out to dang quick.

Honda probably has a robot or something pushing on a gas pedal a million times testing out different bolts under different conditions just to be sure this never happens again

I did read in a post at some point that a member would have to lube his peddle every now and then so I wouldn't stick.

Then they will examine it with an electron microscope or something like that.

I have yet to get mine but I'll be on the same page with my 04 Dakota. Pioneer garage, Dakota driveway. Unless I win the lottery and build a 60x100 garage
