P1000 Super ATV Flip Question

Super ATV has windshields on sale today. I've been thinking about the Flip windshield but I've been hesitant because of past experience with a similar windshield by Kolpin. The Kolpin one was not very sturdy. The lower part of the windshield moved a good bit when the top was open (bounced may be a better description) and when closed there was a pretty constant rattle from where the upper and lower joined. For those with the Super ATV Flip, any similar issues or are these pretty sturdy and quiet when closed? Thanks.

My experience with mine is that the bottom is very solid,no movement or rattles. The top part rattles like heck. I think a foam strip around the outside edge of the window would help or even stop the rattle I just haven't tried that yet.

Sucks they are on sale today... I just got mine about 2 weeks ago. It's a very nice product. I am very happy with it. It's so nice to be able to open it all the way when you need some air. Take your time on the install and you won't have any problems. The top of the windshield is flat, so there will be a gap between the Honda roof and the top of the windshield. Hasn't bothered me yet, but I haven't ridden in hard rain yet.

If you add the windshield to the cart and go to check out it should reduce the price by 15%. I got an email this morning confirming a one day only sale.

It is a good windshield - I have had both the Honda factory one and the Super ATV flip and greatly prefer the SATV. Do yourself a favor and put some grease on the inside of the clamps between them and the ROPS when installing as that will quiet down the squeaks.

Yep, the windshield doesn't interfere with the hood in any way

I like mine. No issues . Just wished it had a half open option. I'm gonna machine a new latch soon with more adjust-ability . Maybe try and sell a few.

I think it will work fine if you got about 1/4 " wiggle room. I'll look at my mounts tonight and get back.

Your light bar may need to be relocated .

Your bar is longer than mine but I would have no problem putting a bigger bar where i have mine. Very stable, longer bar with wider mounting maybe more stable.

Awesome thanks man. I’ve been wanting the flip up windshield but not sure I want it enough to redo snorkel and lightbar. I added the roof vents this past weekend and already have full vented windshield

If your snorkel doesn’t interfere with the oh-s*** handle I think you’d be ok with this shield .

Thanks for the pics. Hard to tell if I will clear but my snorkel is flexible because of the lower 90 being rubber so it might work. My snorkel runs on the inside of the handle and just does leave an opening big enough to still grab the handle.
