Finally got around to installing my winch. A few notes for people that are going to install included. I mounted the rocker swith in the windshield mount location, mounted the controller under the hood, I decided to install the block under my hood and just used the longer power with from the battery to the block. I also grounded the block under the hood. I got acc power from the 12v acc (white and black wire that goes to my charging port. All in all, it was pretty easy. And yes, that is a black Kong ball I used as a winch stop.

So you used the yellow wire to go back to battery and red wire to the winch ?

Bork, what problems are you having? Ask and we will help u out.

Most people do flop the wires as we need the longer ones to run to the battery.
Winch instructions always say yellow and blue to the winch. It really does not matter as long as you keep track of the battery hot and neg. I used the yellow as HOT found a red marker and marked it, then marked the blue one with a wrap of elec tape so you know it is neg.

Here is where you can get "KEY ON" power - accessories-and-modifications-f48/need-help-t678.html

Last weekend I put the Terra 45 in with a KFI mount. I put the relay in the box that the tool kit is stored in under the seat. It seams to fit just fine. I also mounted the switch in the same spot as you. I put the receptacle for the corded remote in the glove box.

Helimech, can you take a picture of the backside of your dash panel? Did you leave your switches open to the elements in the back? How did you mount the plate to the dash. It looks great, btw.

I can't get a picture of the back due to it being a cramped tight area back there, the switches are open . I cut out out just what was needed to put in the switches . The carbon fiber panel I made with wet layup process, wasn't easy. I recommend buying it instead. It is attached via 3m 2 sided tape
Thanks for the comments

Any problems with the KFI mount fitting the Superwinch Terra 45. I plan on ordering one. Sounds like the wiring is not to bad either. Thanks.
