Yes, you'll need a mount from KFI, Honda, or EMP. I went with the EMP because of the ublots and pull angle.

It doesn’t look like Superwinch makes a mount for the 1000-5. Do you have links to those that fit the 1000-5 and this winch?

I put the Super ATV mount on mine and it works well. I also mounted the winch upside down because of the pull angle, and that what the instructions show on the winch mount paperwork. I know it is not pulling from the "bottom" but I don't plan to use it much.
