So the kids named it, not I but we’ll go with it. If your wondering, white kind of fit best.

Brought her home today, below is the list of parts already either here or in transit.

System 3 SB5 14x7 beadlocks
SATV front & rear arms
Texas Tough Customs tie-rods with spare inner and outer ends from rockauto
SATV roof
SATV front & rear windshield
SATV winch mount
SATV winch solenoid and switch
SATV frame stiffener
Badlands 5k winch
Complete second battery setup

door for under drivers seat storage
crap ton of Hondasxs parts including front and rear lights

I just want to say this website sucks! I came here looking at getting a 700-4d, not spending much and keeping it stock, yeah that plan freaking panned out 🤣

Previous ride used only for hunting.

I'd recommend sticking with the stock tie-rods and carrying a few + the tools needed to change in your door storage. Cheap to replace and easy to change trail side in about 15-20 minutes. Much better to bend a tie-rod than grenade the steering rack.

Good point, already here though so may just take the chance. Quick question though as I haven’t seen it, anyone grenade a stock steering box because of heavy duty tie-rods or just worn out from oversized tires? Seems I haven’t seen one destroyed other then when rolled or just worn out.

What switch plate for 5 switches and a socket for the volt meter, also want to install my Garmin zumo which looks to be similar to the ram mount at the base.

I have seen 5 rack and pinions go out. 2 the cases split and cracked and 3 the rack gears strip. Granted most are highly modified and higher mileage that have been beat on. But i would stay stock tie rods as well...better for a 20 dollar part to be the weak link that a 300 dollar steering rack.

I won’t be doing extreme rock crawling or anything, I want to setup a reliable rig for the back country in the mountains mainly but some Midwest trails here and there. The factory tie-rod is so tiny it just seems like it won’t take much to trash it. If the steering rack fails I’ll look at the RB3 unit.

I saw this in another thread and figured for $25 it would make a good storange area for coats and hoodies, not heavy stuff but bulky clothes. What shocked me is it covers the entire length of the front and back of the 1000-5, comes with a crap ton of little ball bungies and should fit well under my SATV roof, front and rear windshield.

I didn’t take a pic as I was just playing but plan to start installing stuff tomorrow so will be taking some pics.
