I have a 2016 Pioneer 1000-5. I still have the original 12 inch stock rims and tires that came with it. I'm going to buy new 14 inch rims and either 27 or 28 inch tires. My question is are those sizes all compatible without needing spacers and having a steering problem? My second question; is the bolt pattern 4/137? Thanks John

If you want to keep your factory width proper offset 6+1 front and 4+3 rear.

Spacers are to even you wide front to your narrow rear because 5+2 offset sucks proper offset is 6*1 front and 4+3 rear and no matter what wheels you use any tire that actually is more than 27.5 to 27.75” will rub

You dont have to have the spacer in the rear. I ran mine that way for months. You can't tell the difference unless you break out the measuring tape. That being said I added a 1 inch in the front and a 2 inch in the rear about 3 weeks ago. Just to give it a little more stability since I'm a little taller now. After that I had no choice but to add mudbusters. I just hope it doesn't cause other issues now. In 3800 miles the only thing I've had to do is change tires and brakes.

28" gives you a bit more side wall and a bit more ground clearance. 👍

So I can put 14 inch rims on and 28 inch tires without spacers correct? Sorry for all the questions just don't want to screw up when I order these tires. I just want to be able to put them on without changing anything. Thanks John

Technically yes, most ppl run a 5+2 offset rim for rotation purposes. But by doing that the front of machine will be a little wider then the rear (thats where the spacer comes in play) but u CAN run them with out spacers.

Because my machine is stock and doesn't have a lift or anything do you think I should upgrade to the 14 inch rims from the 12 inch stock? My question is should I get the same size tire for all 4 corners? I believe they are like 28-10-14. Sorry for all the questions.

U can, same of 4 corners means u can rotate. Better. The DLX comes with 14" rims so theres no problem there. And 28" tires are the tallest u can put on a stock machine. 👍 my 2 cents, I would buy a set of spacers and make it even just for stability. These machines are top heavy as it is. The wider the stance the better.
