My SO (significant other) complained about too much heat coming up between the seats. So, I pulled the entire seat coverings to see exactly where the heat was coming from. I'm sure all of you old timers have had your P-500 totally disassembled, but since I just got mine, I had to find out what was under there :) The fix, of course, was much simpler - just put insulation underneath the seat.
Here's a couple of pictures of under the covers:

My SO complained about the heat so this is what I did. It's automotive heat, sound and noise insulation padding. 3'x4' from Amazon.

Under Seat Insulation

Little extra heat in winter should be good? They want $500. plus installation cost for heater on P1000.

Hey heated seats are an expensive option and only available in upper end vehicles. My wife would want me to add it. She had to have it in her car.

Funny I was thinking of rigging a computer fan up to blow heat from there into the cab. Different climates :). In the summer it might get warm I'll just need to go faster.

Did this help much with in cab noise?

I doubt . Some people also recommend to cut exhaust tip , so it will be pointed away and not towards ground so not air bouncing and less dust .

I did similar isolation but took it off, with 20F outside I like my lower hemispheres to be warm :)

Helped a lot.

Did you try to measure db noise level with any smart phone app? Would be nice to have supporting data, besides subjective feel.

I use motorcycle ear plugs when I ride p500 anyway. But curious true numbers with actual noise reduction.

I didn't even think about measuring the db's. I like your "subjective feel" because I do think it is quieter but I compare it to a placebo, as long as it works all is good. Plus if you read all of those warning plates and stickers somewhere it probably says not to drive and measure you DB's.
