Just got 1000-5 camo. Installed hard roof.soft sides and two piece windshield. Just wondering if it will trailer very well. With out blowing this stuff apart. Thanks for any comments

Welcome to the forum! I can comment that the roof is good at interstate speed but I remove the windshield. I'll leave the windshield on if going local places and staying under 65.
I can't comment on the sides.

We have glass windshield fabric front doors mid and rear window. I adjusted the front windows to sit way in so the air transfers across them the same and it doesn't bounce in/out of the roll bar. Passenger door sits against the oh s*** handle (I padded it a bit) and for right now I hose clamped a 1.5 inch rubber hose about the same spot as passenger handle but on driver side just to keep doors tight then used the Velcro. I left mid window alone and buttoned up the rear. NO PROBLEMS! None. Had a friend drive alongside me at 85mph to check and no bad flapping just a little vibration was all. Drove 125 miles each way no signs of anything. It was sitting in my truck but should be the same winds if not more. I wasn't going to use something that had to come down before travel if it ripped it would have been campfire material. Maybe I got lucky but all is good. I think the mid window helped a bunch. Makes it nice to fill the cab for camping.
I had some large peel & stick Velcro pads
hanging from little strips attached to the
top of both doors. I suppose those are to
secure the tops of the doors for trailering.
The dealer installed our soft doors & back
panel, but did not pass along the instruction
sheet.

just got back from lease top and sides made it fine. its a 7 hour road trip. i did put a rachet strap down both sides to hold the doors in.it made it
Was thinking enclosed trailer was the way to go. Bought a 7 x 14 loadrunner so I could haul the 1000 and also hunting and camping gear safely. The clearance is tight but works fine. Will try to sent picture.
I wish I had thought of an enclosed
trailer. I guess I'll have to check into
one of those.

Well thats the only drawback. Before I drug around a honda fourtrax for many hunting trips in a 6 x 10 enclosed trailer. It was quite easy to get off that one and go out the back. Unfortunately this time it is a little tight and I have to lower the rear tailgate and climb out that way. Not the best but once I lock it all up it is secure.

I have a 7 x 14 v-nose and I love the way it fits.
If I park tight to one side, I can open the other door and walk out. I'm 6 ft and 210lb. I figure I could put on another 40 lb before this starts to become a problem (just trying to to put this into perspective for others). Worst case, I can slip the door off before parking - but no need to at this point.

I think that one was 6500 but you can get them cheaper. Extra costs on mine were torsion axels, lifetime roof warranty, V-nose, RV side door (very handy), paint to match my Silver Metallic P1000. For a pioneer make sure you one with with extended height.

You can get a 18' base trailer with extra interior height for about $4K, its not going to be aluminum frame or anything super fancy.
They can be had for that price range.
If you start adding aluminum frame or a lot of additional features the price is going to jump and may get over $10k REAL quick.
Steel is heavier and limits how much you can carry, so you need to know what you plan on carrying and what you are going to pull it with.

I bought this one for work but use it to haul the pioneer sometimes.
It has an 8' tall door. Overall height it 10' though. I love the 8.5' width.
