Ultimate Talon cargo box

I installed the ultimate Talon cargo box.
Looks great, durable, weather sealed, easy in/out, no ugly straps, $125.

I made a mounting plate for it.
It connects to the bed frame with 8 spacers and 8 longer bolts.

The cargo box mounts to the plate with four 1/4-20 knobs.

I had my dealer bring one in for me and it was too big. Rested on the sides of the Talon bed and could not open the lid as it hit the flag mount??

I think the OP forgot to mention something...

I've got this box in my x4 and it doesnt hit the flag mount. It must be the rear cage bars are different on the x4. The box works great.

I wonder if that is because he used that plate to mount it verses it sitting lower in the bed.

The box only touches the upper tie downs. There is no rubbing since the box doesn't move. In other words, it's a perfect fit.

I removed the flag mount since I'm either going to modify the cage or replace it and wanted two flag mounts.

Here's the box open. You can see the ball bungie's looped over the rear of the box. They are threaded through the factory tie downs. The front is through the tie downs and two brackets I mounted on the box. It hasn't moved at all hitting high speed bumps and is easy to remove.

The box is well build and looks great. Bummed it wouldn’t work for me.

Would be nice to reconfirm the exact model/ size that fits, as others say that there seems to be few versions to chose from.
Interested to hear from members who says that they had trouble, exactly what model or p/n they bought.
Although @nm6r did send a link to a specific Moose model.
