So after seeing a couple of the well know (suspects) on the forums installing the under seat storage door. I decided i would like to utilize the space also. But... One problem, lots of pretty important electrical looking stuff in that area.
So after throwing around a few ideas, thought I'd share what i have thus far.
21.5" x 15" is the dimension for the piece i need to construct.
I came across a piece of 18ga. Stainless.
After a few bends and a little trimming, i am really happy with how it looks. I have a bit of trimming yet. But I think after i fasten it down, it will really protect the electrical very well.
And its a little tight but it slips in thru the top opening.
Hope the images and (chicken scratch) provide a little clarity and maybe some helpful ideas.

Everything I've got in there is in a dry bag with some extra air in it. There's also a couple straps and a soft shackle in there so I'm not too worried about it damaging anything. I'm sure I've doomed myself by saying that, but 🤞

I didn't do the front door mod on mine, but I was able to put a pretty good size ammo can and screwed it to the floor. There isn't enough room to get the lid back on and you have to access it with the seat off, but it works pretty well for stuff you rairly need. I had the same worry about the electrical components, so this gave me enough room around them to not cause any trouble.
