Just finished installing my dual battery, fuse box and Viper 5000 winch on my 18 1000-5. Room under the hood is getting skimpy so I need some ideas on where to mount the wireless winch controller. Thought about mounting it on top of the cubby that’s below the warning label on the dash. I don’t think it should interfere with the rocker switches and wiring when I remove that warning label. Will the controller still pick up the signal mounted that far back? Also has anybody cut the gussets off the left side of the air box to mount their fuse box? I’ve seen pictures of them mounted there but I’m not sure if all years had those gussets. Thanks

Here's where I mounted mine. Seems to work well and access to the remote turn on button is great.

20190630 171957 Here's what mine looks like. The controller is temp till I figure a better spot. I wired the control temp just to winch the rope in. Is your fuse block mounted on top of the battery. I'm not to crazy where mines at.

I zip tied my wireless controller to the crossbar up under the black shroud just aft and above the AUX battery.

Thank you for the suggestions. By the time I got to the wiring stage it was around a 105⁰ in the carport and all I could think of was getting back under the A/C
