Over the 2 more seats, P1-5 verses P1-3. I find it very handy to tilt the bed up, or do they both do it? Probably do. DUGH! Wow, it's takes time to clean one of these machines, It would be a real pain in the BUTT if the bed didn't tilt up. And with a full skid plate assembly, you need a fire hose. Any body got a short cut?

Pressure washer and a few hours of your time. Super Clean definitely helps after you get all the big stuck on stuff off and out of it.

For those of us on well water, I used a three-quarter inch hose with a high flow nozzle tied in to the main line right off the expansion tank which is inch and a half. To have that much volume and 70 psi, it really cut down the time required for washing.

Normally I'm a "spray and pray" kinda guy with the pressure washer. But last few times I've gotten a code for low voltage at map sensor. So be careful around the electronics. Still waiting on time to tear into it and address the map sensor plug and waterproof it.

I've used my pressure washer with pretty good success, however I'm not really all into having a spotless off road machine! Even back in the days when I did a lot of motorcycling, I didn't waste much time polishing, spent more time eating up miles!

I've had good success lifting the front of the machine up where the front tires are ~3' off the ground. Lets you get a good upward angle on stuff and mud/water runs off the skids. I go over the machine with a low pressure hose to wet things out and wash the actual mud off, after that I go back over it with the pressure washer to get the dirt "film". I've also used a fire hose once. That worked awesome.

While I have not tried this myself I have seen some before and after pics where sprayed with a solution of
1/2 cup Zeb Fast 505 degreaser
1/2 cup Tide clothes detergent
to a gal of water

Spray machine, let sit 5 min and them pressure wash off- the before and after pics I have seen look great and I plan on trying soon.

only a little concerned about the degreaser and if that will doing anything

Be careful with your pressure washing...it has a tendency to force water into cracks and crevices that are sensitive to water...sometimes more pressure and force is a bad thing.

I just use a cheap electric washer.. we've got a big Honda washer but it's too much.
I am looking for one that I can use on the P1k but also use for other things around the house - Driveway, siding etc. Granted it will probably be used more regularly on the Honda

For Around the house and cleaning the rig you might want to look into a 2000-2500psi pressure washer,

The little electric is perfect for the sxs.. I think mine is 1700 or 1900 psi but it's not got enough s*** for house type stuff. The big Honda washer is a beast, it's a 3500psi commercial unit dad bought years ago. It's heavy and will eat stuff up if you're not careful. No more than the electric units are and as light and easy as they are to use.. I'd would suggest getting one if all you use it for is the sxs.

I've got a cheap harbor freight power washer. I love it, and it works great on the Pioneer. My favorite way to wash it is by sitting in a lawn chair and drink a cocktail while the neighbor kid earns 25 bucks.
