Hotter than 105 index, how does anyone get anything done in the day, besides being in Ac. :)
We stopped at a little cave with a stream, it was probably 10 or 15 degrees cooler. Nice on a hot day.
:)
That’s Shelley, John’s better half. :)

Looks nice, just flowing out of a cave huh???

Arrived back in New Mexico today, glad to be out of the 100* heat and miserable humidities of eastern Oklahoma and central Arkansas. Back at my property the temp was 59* due to afternoon showers (monsoon season still) but highs are usually 85* before the afternoon showers hit. Lows 50-55* humidity 30%.

How’s the property coming. Any house yet.

Oh no, far from that. Power was finally brought in a couple weeks ago and I’m now in the process of taking it from the meter pedestal to the well pump house that I’ll be framing up this week, and the garage that’s already there as you know. If I’m lucky, the septic goes in late next week. Then there’s over a week of riding in a forum group ride in Colorado, then a forum group ride in Arkansas, late September, then there’s Talladega mid October.

Then the well company comes out and installs the pressure tank and connects water and electric.

In the meantime I’ve got to bring in 45 yards of fill to prep the subgrade. Then concrete contractor pours foundation. By then it’s winter. @trigger tells me to stack it but I’m doing it in between trips to Oklahoma to tend my cattle and fix what needs attention there, and weekends at the lake house remodeling it and chilling at the sandbar.....:D

I’ll sleep when I’m dead.

That’s good. I’m told it rained at my place too, for three days!! I was concerned about the grass for my cattle... good to go for now.

Well normally up here the grass starts to brown up mid July but we’ve had so much rain this year that it’s stayed deep green and tender. Makes it hard to cut and keep it looking good. I’m mowing it at 4” right now.
