Up here, starting a house this time of year, there’s no screwing around to get it roof tight.
Saying that, I have built houses in the winter. Not much fun scraping the ice off every 2x6 , before you can use it. And you can’t use big gloves, so you use the little white cotton ones. Just better than nothing.

The house is somewhat prefabricated. So it will go up in 2-3 days. But the slab is still 6 weeks off or so.

Well, no rain chances till Friday, maybe 40% chance. Lows in low 70's highs in mid 90's all week. Small talk of cold front coming around 24th or so. Should it make it into state we will be looking at temps near normal for this time of year.

Friday the 13th was a bad day for Chattanooga. Broke a heat record at 103, and a 36 inch water main broke during maintenance work resulting in NO water for city. Businesses, restaurants and schools shut down, hospitals affected and fire departments as far away as Knoxville sent tanker trucks to help. Don’t take the water out of your faucet for granted. Luckily, Mudder has Georgia water.

94 today and dry. The wife said the pond water level is beginning to drop. Getting time to hook up the water pump and fill the pond from the creek.
