I want new 14" X 7" wheels with a lifetime structural warranty for my 1000-5 and I am a simple man and can understand that a 4X137 wheel would slip over the 4X136 studs and you could hammer the lug nuts on with an air wrench, I get it. What I can't understand is how wheel manufactures can say 4X137, 4X136.5 will fit 4X136 wheel studs with out any harm. I just can't get it thru my thick skull I guess.

Please someone address this so I can understand

1mm is not enough difference to even notice. Many of us run the 4/137 with no problems.you'll be fine with them.

1/25" seems like enough to cause problems to me but I guess the tolerances are not that close. Thanks for your reply.
I havent talked to anyone that has had any issues. No problem bud.

I wondered too.
I might be anal but I put all my lugs on finger tight, then tightened to about 40 ft lbs, then about 70 then 95 with the torque wrench, no issues.

Same here. I see and hear the concern. But we haven't had any reports of such problems.

Honda says the studs are 4x136. Why they chose this size, no one knows. Or maybe no one is telling. Lol.

Best I can figure is a 137 wheel does provide enough play that it snugs up just fine.

Good luck. Lol.

Finished my research, by talking to my local tire and Honda dealers. I will be going with 4x136 wheels due to my original concerns. Vision makes a wheel I like. Thanks for the input.

I’ve got two years now and over 2000 miles on 137mm wheels. And that’s with the the 42# Roctanes.

It does seem weird that they chose to use the 136mm

The 137 wheels fit without you even noticing it’s only ½ a mm off on each wheel stud. No one seems to have had an issue yet with 137 wheels. No hammering needed they slide right on like they are supposed to be there.

Tire dealer and Honda dealer both told me don't do it said you can see the difference when putting on the 4x137 and the lugs are off just a little 1/25". I know most do it w/o problem but Murphy's law seems to follow me more than others. So I am going with the wheels that are correct not just close. Thanks for your reply.

We may be interested in making them both ways depending on how many people are also interested in them. It cost alot to make spacers with material and machine time.

FYI Wheel manufactures that make 4x136 wheels for the pioneer 1000 that I have found are Fuel & Vision. Not sure if any more do so I ordered from my local tire dealer Fuel 14x7 wheels as he said they are very tough and very good customer service. my Terrabite tires are do soon also.
