Another morning ride with the misses. Gotta be back for the game ya know. Lower Sycamore Creek. A few usual trails, turned around at the Reservation then took trail 1852 around to the Creek/River area. Lots of running water. Had to splash the dust off the Honda. Saw two bucks cross the trail in front of us near the top. Around 28 miles total. Perfect temps. On the way back we stopped to check out the wild horses by Saguaro Lake.

Hi,

Thanks for posting all of these amazing pictures of the Arizona desert. I was wondering if you have to worry about any 50" gates down there?

With all of the goodies you have added lately, I'm guessing that your P520 is riding pretty good at this point. But with added spacers and different wheels and tires, you have to be closing in on 55-56" wide. Is there a reason you chose the P520 over something that might be a bit larger?

Thanks,

Rob

Hey Rob,
We haven't seen any 50" gates to date on any of the trails we frequent. The 520 is close to 57" at this point. Without spacers its around 55.5" So far the only negative with the added width F/R is sharp turns on pavement/concrete. The rear tires scrub a lot. Several factors weighed into the Honda 520 decision. Honda reliability, price, availability, and I could transport it with my existing trailer and vehicle. Don't have the extra $$$$ to buy another truck and trailer to just tow a larger SxS. Plus its a much smaller footprint in the garage. ;) For just the two of us it works well. We might go bigger later but the 520 let us get our feet wet in the SxS adventure.

Your buggy looks great. Lots of fun and functional upgrades.

I’ve said it lots of times, I just don’t need a bigger machine. Sounds like you made a similar choice.

I'm so jealous, my machine hasn't left my yard i almost a year, I need to relocate to better climate and riding conditions. Thanks for posting your pics.
Go to Quartzsite Arizona for the winters. Lots of free camping. Miles of trails to ride on. 60 to 70 degrees and no rain. My 2 sisters live in Colebrook NH. Way to cold for me there. I moved to Oregon 50 years ago. Love it but wintervrains can get you down. I am heading to Quartzsite to spend the winter, December thru March in my Toy Hauler. Enjoying the endless sunshine. Be awesome if we could get together a group of P500s for a ride.
