P700 08z08-hl5-a00 hookup help for switch panel

I just bought this harness hoping to make it easy to wire up my switch panel and lightbar. I am a wiring dummy, just so you know!

I want my switch panel to be on only when the key is on. Do I simply unwrap one leg of this harness that has both pos and neg and run them to the switch panel?

I think he has the OEM 4 or 5 leg wire harness for the DLC. (red connector)
I'm not familiar with it at all. Mostly because the circuit it uses is not protected.

I am not opposed to buying this other harness... I am just looking for a simple way to hook up power to my switch panel, then to my lightbar and later a backup light, etc. If this other harness allows that, I will purchase...

Why do you need another panel if you have extra spots for rocker switches on dash? Total newb here

I think what you have will work. Plug it in and put a test light to it.

Because it is not nearly enough places. a panel makes it look nice.

So, with either of these harnesses, do I still need the fuse panel? How does that get wired in, from this harness?

I can’t locate the Honda part number you posted. Is it just the harness and no fuse box ?

What year is that harness for ?

Ya, thats what I thought it was.
one of those is a key-on hot wire.
Some are grounds.. no clue what the other ones do.

Looks a lot like the one for the P500 which supplies 4 hots and 2 grounds.
