Looks like an Oil temp sensor is being added to the DCT near the pistons for, "improved reliability" apparently this will allow the clutch actuating pistons to react differently (via computer) than the current setup with regards to the operation temperature of the oil. ERGO possibly adjust the oil pressure differently? Sounds like they are on the right track!
Good catch, and considering they submitted to patent document in September of 2015, maybe they incorporated it into the machines built after that date. Who knows... lol
