Is anybody familiar with this Kolpin #20073 2-gun rack mounted in a P500? I have an EMP metal roof bit it would seem to hold a couple rifles.

I want them in the cab, not a scabbard type holder mounted on the roll cage or rack.

Thanks for comments.

If memory serves…I think @RB3offroad might have a similar in cab product that would interest you if you haven’t already seen it.

Hi @bowhunterbill , I have the overhead koplin 2 gun rack in my P1K5 and I have a metal roof. I had to loosen up the roof to get the rack set then I tightened the roof back down. No problems since I installed it and they work great. I would think the overhead would work on p5

overhead works in P5 but if not a carbine the barrel will stick out past the roll bar. I have one in mine and great for Mini 14 or a 30/30. I have used it with shotgun with 30" barrel and 26" barreled rifle and just have to let the barrel stick out a little.

Fact. I ran a Big Sky 2 gun rack overhead on my old P500. During hunting season a barrel was always looking out. I had to take off my suppressor too because it would snag everything in the west while driving along. Thankfully my suppressor is a QD so it goes back on in a flash. Point being I liked the Big Sky rack even though long rifles poked out on the P500. Figured out how to rig my compound bow overhead too which was great.

Thanks, but they are for 700 and 1000s. I like how the barrel faces down in his design.

I need to see if my rifle would fit overhead, sticking out is no-go.

Anybody have the Kolpin?

Sorry I didn’t remember what machine it was for. Hopefully someone has the Kolpin in a P5 and give you the feedback you are hoping for. I’ve definitely seen the Kolpin company name for storage/rack boxes, mirrors and I think chainsaw mounts here on the forum. It’s a brand I’d gamble the purchase on even if you don’t get specific feedback on this product. Best of luck and if you do try it out please report back on how you like it.

Thanks- no problem on it not fitting a P5.

Kolpin is a name brand. It’s $89.95 on amazon and I can always return it. I’m just not sure how securely it mounts on the floor, does it need an upper bracket, does it block the brake lever and can 2, full size grown men still fit their legs in front of them.
