P1000 2016 pioneer 1000 won’t idle. And do I need this part on it.

So my hardly used 2016 1000 has an idling issue. I have changed injector wires and put fresh gas in it. I only use premium non ethanol in it and was still not idling so today put in new spark plugs in and cleaned off air control valve. Now putting it back together so hoping it idles better now. Plugs didn’t look that good. It only gets short runs around our neighborhood and have read that it could foul plugs. Am having a hard time installing the piece of metal that goes on drivers side of intake on plastic piece that is behind back of seat cannot figure out what the purpose of that piece is for and is it necessary to have it on. ? Hoping someone can have some I put on this.

So got it back together and is now idling good hope that fixed the problem. Don’t know if I got that tin piece on right or not. Spark plugs were 17 dollars each. Lucky for me I had read on the forum that plug wrench was in the tool kit or don’t know how I would have got them changed. 😀

It's weird how we seem to have people with the same issue coming in waves around here. Lately it's been fouled plugs. A while back there was a rash of shift motor problems.
