I might have considered doing that as well, but over the last 2 days, my dog cost us $2,700 for two emergency vet visits, EKGs, x-rays, an echocardiogram, and medications ... with follow-up visits to come ... Not to mention the 18 hours waiting @ the second vet on TUE ...

Thx. Took him to his normal vet today just to make sure he's tolerating the new meds ($67 visit). Picked up new script so he only has to take 1 300mg pill instead of three 100mg pills ($29.60) every 12 hours. His heart rate is up where it needs to be (~80 bpm @ the vet instead of 20 pm @ the cardiologist last TUE). So things are looking up.
His name is Riley. Our youngest daughter (who is graduating from Michigan State tomorrow) named her after the K9 in one of the 'Call of Duty' video games ...

Mostly heart issues. In SXS terms, timing is off, one valve is slightly worn, and his air filter is a little clogged. The pressure in his RR tire is a little low, too. But he's doing OK for 9+ years old. Thx.
