So I am really contemplating getting a rear spoiler. It sucks not being able to use my glass windshield and this seems like a legit solution. There is a 40" one on ebay but I am not sure how that one would be compared to the 46" for the Pioneer 1000? I contemplated building one myself but I don't have a tig welder and I would probably be at the same money with my time when all was said and done. I have only found one post with a review and it was from a Talon owner. Anyone out there with one on their Pioneer? I wonder how fast you need to be going for it to work?

Well looks like I'll be a guinea pig, just bought a 46" for $300 free shipping. Much better than the $495 plus shipping from Aegis.

Yes its a rear spoiler designed to direct air down the back side to prevent dust swirl when using a windshield. I'm actually Missouri, it just got cut off in my sig.

Well welcome anyway and good luck with the spoiler. I use a half windshield so dust isn't bad on mine.

So the dust isn't bad with a half windshield? That's something I wouldn't mind having for the summer.
A half windshield will allow enough air to flow across the top of it to eliminate most of the dust. It stays warm enough here most of the year for me not to need a full windshield. There are a few manufacturers that make a split winshield that the top will fold down. In essence a half windshield. I can't speak to which one since I don't use one but you might look around the site and see who uses what.

I was looking to order the Super ATV one but I have read plenty of posts where guys are still getting dust swirl with it. That was my motivation for getting the rear spoiler, to hopefully eliminate the issue going forward.

I got it installed but have not tested it yet. I am hoping to go to St Joe State Park on the 24th and there is plenty of dust there so I'll be able to play with the angles. First thoughts are it is well constructed. I didn't like their install instructions so I did it my own way which was much easier. I'll be sure to post my results the next time I get it out.

I'd be real curious to know how it performs at low speeds.

It sits lower than I expected. That was my main reason for not getting one. I think I'd probably end up ripping it off going thru the woods.

Instructions say to adjust it so the top is 3-4 inches above your roofline. This was a bit confusing to me since the factory roof isn't level all the way across. I just split the difference. It also says the bolt heads are designed to shear off to prevent damage to the spoiler in case you hit something.

Had a chance to test out the spoiler today. I didn't have my full OEM glass windshield in but I had my SuperATV half windshield installed. We rode in very dusty conditions, sand flats at St Joe State Park. At first I basically had the spoiler set to not do anything for a control and we were getting quite a bit of dust up front. I then adjusted it to approximately 45 degrees and the dust in the cab was definitely less. Then I went down to 30 degrees or so and that seemed to be even better. I had my Daughter drive so I could get a good look in the rear and it seemed the only dust I could see was maybe coming in through the door cracks. I was able to look backwards with no goggles on with a cloud of dust boiling up behind us. I guess the real test will be the full windshield but for now it seems to be working well.

I have the Honda split windshield and dust is BA BA BA BAD I don’t want to do the rear panel if I don’t have to. Where did you find that spoiler again on eBay? Very interested in your results, thanks for sharing this info.👍

Yes on eBay, the seller had one of each size when I got mine. I'll see if I can message him to see if he still has any.

Not yet and I feel that will be the real test. It was 95 here yesterday and I didn't want to cook my kids having the full windshield in!

I looked on eBay but couldn’t find a listing for that, what did you search to find that? Or do you have a link to the seller?

Now that you've had it a while are you happy with it? If it works well I'd like to buy one because my kids don't want to ride if its dusty now.

I apologize for not responding, yes it works fairly well. At low speeds not so much but once you get air flowing I'd say it reduces dust by 80% or so? It takes some experimenting with the angle and I still may not have it at the optimal setting. It's hard when you got a 5 & 8 year old asking what's taking so long over and over!
