i decided to widen out my p5 due to some rough terrain i ride. i put a set of solid axle rancher rims on mine all the way around with a 2in front spacer and can run 27-10-12 front and 27-12-12 rear with no rubbing or any problems. it widened out about 2.5 or 3 inches and makes a huge difference on stability. although you get exceptionally muddy with the wider stance. just thought id share how i did mine! thanks!

Installed 30 inch Mongrels with 5-2 bead locks and 2 inch wheel spacers. They rub on hard turns. Top speed is 45.2 mph when the speedo reads 41. We had ten side by sides on todays ride.

When you put those 30" tires on, did you install a lift kit? Is there enough clearance to run that big of a tire without one? What kind of low-end power loss do you experience? Any info would be nice, as I'm outfitting a 500 this summer for an all-around ATV.

It's 56 inches wide. My brother has 2 x 5 wheels and his is 58 inches wide with 27x9x12 Big Horns. Another setup I use is 5 x 2 wheels and 27x9x12 big Horns with 1.5 inch spacers, its 54.5 inches wide and fits on our quad trails. Most 12 inch aftermarket wheels are the 5 x 2 off set. That makes the 500 about 2 inches wider then stock. The Foreman quad with this 475cc engine is geared to top out at 56 mph so I'm stilled geared fairly low.

Where did you get the wheel spacers and which ones?
