We’ve had the tear drop out on several rides and camped in KOA and state campgrounds already but this is the first time to take it deep into the Rocky Mountains. From forest access roads, to forest roads, to logging trails, to abandoned logging trails in which I had to pull out the chainsaw often. Not just for fallen trees across the trail, but live trees that have grown up in the path. So far I estimate that I’ve opened up 20-25 miles of old forest roads long abandoned this way.
Arrived at a pretty, very little alpine meadow where two small streams converge. And made camp.
