Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a better way to mount car seats in the rear seats of The Family Rig and was hoping you could share ideas.

I've seen Joey and others running car seats back there. Give me some ideas!

I run a ratchet straps around the rear seat back and hook the hooks together. I hook the car seat top buckle to get cargo tiedown.

Sounds like a great idea, THANKS..

So you run the top strap up over the seat back and down to the strap? Does this hold the seat from going forward pretty well?

I loop the ratchet straps through the car seat and around the seat back which holds it in the seat. I then run the car seat upper strap over the seat back and down to the rear cargo box tie down. This holds the top of the car seat to the top of the seat back

Remove all the padding from the seat and then fold the seatbelt buckles out and the car seats will fit much better. Take the other guys advice on using ratchet straps. That’s what I do.

Interesting on removing the padding.. Do you remove the bottom and back padding?

I drilled a 1/2 hole in the frame backing to latch the car seat tie downs too. Just like you would in the car and like others said pull the rear strap over and latch to the cargo hook. 96f6c049c6cf2e9b980b7f7f1d37b4ed0e3f7f979faee7b40962fb7405da58c4

Awesome, so you don't even use ratchet straps, just the standard car seat straps? I like that. 1/2 inch"?

Yes the back and the bottom removal really helped with stability. Of coarse that’s for our brand of car seat so your results may be different. Give it a shot and see what happens.
