This wont be popular for the cause so sorry for the doom and gloom.
My wife and I are snowmobilers. See this on trucks every once in a while. The hight is not as tall as a P1 but with some sleds today the weight is getting there. Doesnt matter the truck payload in the name of tip physics here lol. We where on our way to the cabin, dry roads to clarify. Nice looking F350 long bed with the ramp and flat top transport for the sled. The tops of the sled peeked about 3 to 3-1/2 feet above the cab. looked secured as they always do with a good amount of straps. Anywho..
Someone changed lanes in front of the truck that looked close, we were a bit back so hard to tel exactly. The truck with the sleds on top had to make a quick touch of the wheel to swerve out of the way just a little as weve all done so it seemed from our vantage point and BAM! Over on his side he went easy peasy! Many had already stopped to help so we kept going plus pulling a 24’ inclosed. POIDH right? Lol wife took a crappy pic Id have to see if she still has it.
But the moral of the story is top heavy tip physics. Dont matter the payload and think about a P1 vrs a Snowmobile on top and all it takes is that one time! Had my P5 in The bed of my old f350 8’ bed all time but that was in the bed and a touch better.
A buddy
@tr005 that use to be on here does this but with the bed removed and a flat bed with an F450 dully. Says still has some sway but nothing like it would being on top of a bed. This I have a pic of from my cabin lol.
