Kool. 17 here. Town is shut down because of the major snow storm dropping a whooping 2 inches. Seen 5 wrecks yesterday during the first hour if the storm.
When in doubt.... SLAM on brakes. LOL.

Now all the lights are the same color, The headlights bulbs match the aux & light bar. Just got all done today. This kit is a plug and play.

How bright are the Hid? Are they a huge difference overstock? I was planning on just doing the Hid.

I did the HID on my pioneer 700 and really didn't like it. It looked better from the front but from the driver's seat it was terrible.

Here are some pics of the awful light pattern. It scattered light everywhere except where you wanted it.

Looked good when looking at the front. But I don't care what oncoming traffic thinks about it.

Here's the light pattern on my truck. The head lights are OEM 4300k HID's and the fog lights are aftermarket 3000k HID yellow for better night vision, reduce glare, and better rain/fog performance. Notice how the light is low and wide. No glare, not too high to be unsafe for oncoming traffic.

In my opinion, this is how lights should perform.

Now, for long distance light, you can run auxiliary lights for that. I have a 40" KC light bar that is crazy bright.

I know a lot of guys have switched over to these bright bulbs but let me tell you why I will not do it. Not only does it not make sense for me because my light bar is plenty bright, but I like having the dim stockers for when I'm driving down the road so I'm not blinding oncoming traffic. If your pioneer gets zero street time, then I understand it. But if you occasionally scoot down the road you may be better off leaving them alone. I think of the stock lights as low beams and the light bars as high beams! Ha! After seeing @joeymt33 's picture of that light pattern, I'm going to say you're way better off springing for a light bar!
