P500 Is it a Scam

I am trying to sell my 2022 Pioneer 500 and have had two inquiries from Facebook Marketplace. The vehicle is only 5 months old and has less than 10 hrs on it. I am asking $9,000. I live in central Kentucky and one inquiry was out of Florida and the other out of northern Ohio. My concern is you can purchase a 2023 Pioneer 500 in both Florida and Ohio for $8,999. I am worried about getting scammed. I will only take cash. Is anyone aware of how I might get scammed?

Most of the time, the scammers will want to send you a check and then have you sending some money back to them.



There's lots of ways to be scammed. If you're uncertain, only deal in person, cash in hand.

Like mentioned already, deal with buyer(s) in person/cash.

Personally, down here in FL even if it's $8,999 they'll add a few grand in BS fees and such. I wouldn't shy away from an out of state buyer so lang as they hand you cash in hand 👌 👍

Thanks for the responses. I am selling the 500 because we had to purchase a new tractor for the farm and I really don’t need the 500 any longer. I will require the buyer to be here in person, he was going to send a friend down to get it. I will also post it this forum.

EXACTLY! That way you get the bank to verify that the cash is really CASH. And don't sign it over to him untill the bank teller tells you it's real money and it's in your account.

I've done a transaction NOT at a bank with cash, as the recipient of $1,600 in $100 bills, over half of which turned out to be counterfeit. That was back in '92.

There are advantages to buying used...does your machine have any accessories?

They just bought a Kawasaki 140 MC for my grand-son. it was like $2,800. We took him to the dunes for spring-break. We had the paperwork and looked at it....from memory, or lack of memory....Dealer prep was like $800, Title and license was like $450, Tax was like $225. It was OTD at like $4,800. Right around $2K worth of BS charges.

As a side point, it had no mounting spot for a whip. I drilled a hole in the rear fender.

2022 Honda Pioneer 500 for Sale Purchased in November, 2022 and has less than 10 hours on it. Perfect condition and stored inside. Added non-OEM windshield, roof and had slime put in tires. Everything else is standard equipment straight from the dealer. Vehicle has not been abused, used to...
