Went riding yesterday and just crusing on the trails the temp light flashes a couple times I could speed up for awhile and it would drop temp what have y'all done to help with this situation? Also I never heard my fan coming on either .
Do you have any mud or debris in your radiator? I've had mine idling while clearing trails and then creaping along and the fan runs but never a temp light.

The fan not running is the problem I bet. Got to be a loose connection somewhere.

^^^ That or a air bubble if its still new. This was common on the 700 and 500's but no so much with the 1000's.
If it just started then its electrical.
Also I remember 1 report of the thermostat being stuck.
After the group rides last April mine would overheat while riding. After going through checking the fan, and for air in the system turned out the bottom half of radiator was packed with dirt. I spent 30 mines washing the radiator fins out good and have not had a problem or repeat in the last 600 miles. I don't do deep mud but it got in there bad anyway. Just an FYI.
Found the culprit. Something got wrapped around the fan. It will run slowly. I. Can feel sow thing wrapped around it. I am going to have to pull the fan out and clean whatever it is out of it. Just really hope it isn't burned up.
Took it apart tonight and fixed it. It had sucked a rubber hose in the fan and jammed it up got the hose out and everything is working fine.. Ended up being the front did vent line. I didn't pull the factory line off when I ran new extended lines. I guess I can say it's my fault.. We all make mistakes. Just glad i didn't burn the fan up.
