For a Pioneer 1000 5--- Calls for 6.8 qt of oil with the filter being changed Now it looks like it's overfilled Thoughts Comments Suggestions

did you check it the way the manual tells you to? The 700 needs to be ran for a few minutes at idle before checking, not sure about a p1k

Yes ran at idle 3 to 4 min waited 2or3for the oil to drain to the sump as well How much oil does the 700 take?

It's only 6 qts with oil filter change and 6.1 with oil filter and dct filter change

That's correct! Now it's time to drain some oil!
The transmission and engine are separate I believe Why would one affect the other?? Just going off the owners manual

The subtrans is separate from the engine. The engine and tranny are lubed by the same 6 qts.

I just add oil Intel full it depends on how long you let it drain it may not need 6 quarts to male it full.

Make sure you drain from both spots. There are 2 drain bolts .
