That's a good price on Honda oil!

I personally use Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 full synthetic a 1 gal jug is $19.98 @ Wallyworld and I get my filter from RM ATV I bought 6 of them on sale for $3.50 each. So all in I'm at $24 per oil change. Only thing I'm missing is a crush washer, but I can't think of when I ever replaced one other than engine rebuilds. I haven't done that on one of my Hondas in over 20 years :D

Ouch $9.39 qt. does it come with extra "lube" for that price, I can't imagine for $6.90 more per Qt. over Rotella T6 there is that much difference between them to justify the cost.

no extra lube with it but it sure shifts smoother with synthetic than the gn4

Absolutely agree on the synthetics shifting smoother, I ran that 5W-40 Rotella T6 in my last 2 Rincon's that were notoriously sluggish shifting when cold, the 5w synthetic made a very noticeable difference in less time to warm up before shifting properly in cold weather especially.

When I picked up my P700, I asked my dealer to sell me enough oil and filters for my first 3 oil changes. They sold me 10W-40. I've done two oil changes now and just realized the other day that the recommended oil is 10W-30.

I plan on using the Honda synthetic and the correct weight oil.

at least it is not as expensive as polaris 900xp oil change. i pay 45.00 for a kit.it has 2.5 qts of oil and filter. does not include trans oil that is 15.00 per quart 48oz required . however, synthetic is the only way to go at the correct weight. cant wait to get my new p1k-5. Coming soon to a garage near me. ;)

I have been buying Tusk oil filters from Rocky Mountain atv. I think they are around $3.50 and they look exactly like oem.

The dealer through in a 3 year extended warranty when I purchased my 700-4. (They screwed up the paperwork twice, had to make 2 extra trips back to dealership) So I'm going to stay with the lubes the dealer suggest. Don't want ANY reason to hear, "That'd not covered because you didn't follow OEM specs.
