Russian 'Air Pair'

I own several sets of what I call 'Air Pairs', meaning an air pistol mated up with it's 'real' firearm analogy. For example, i have a S&W Model 41 along with the S&W Model 78 22 air pistol, as well as a Ruger Mk1 Target pistol and the Crosman counterpart.

Here's the nicest Air Pair I own:

This one is a TOZ 35M .22 Free Pistol, made in the USSR in 1985. This particular model held the World Free Pistol record from 1981 through 2009. It is spooky accurate (in the right hand!), and the trigger can be adjusted right down to near ridiculous. Shooting this one is a very humbling experience!

Here's it's Air Pair:

This one is a Russian Baikal MP-46M. It's a .177 version of the above, and every bit as accurate. It makes an excellent trainer for the TOZ.

This same pairing can be done with centerfires and 22s, usually as military trainers. Here's a Polish TT-33 in 7.62x25, paired with the TT -33 22 'Sportowy'. Both manufactured at Radom.

I'll add more of these pairings as I continue getting everything transferred up here to TN from FL.

7.62x25 is a hot little pistol round. I’ve had several over the years. The pistols aren’t my thing but I really like that round.

I have both a S&W 41 (7") and a 6" (I think) Ruger Mark III, I wasn't really aware of any air guns modeling them.

I'll have more in the coming months, I'm in the process of moving into a new house, as yet unfinished, in NE TN, coming out of Florida. I am moving more stuff up here with each monthly trip, and as more of this kind of stuff makes it up here I'll post more Air Pairs.

Good to know! I'm up in Eidson, near Kyles Ford and North over Clinch Mountain from Rogersville. I'm living in a cabin on the Clinch River while my house is being built a few miles from here.

So I just purchased 3 air rifles today from a friend whose sister worked and retired from crossman and was looking for your opinion on what I got. Also if there is anything I should check on them. Also I do have a real ppk but mine is stainless.

Memories. The Benjamin is a good little pellet pistol. If it’s like the one I had in the 70s it’s single shot and can destroy the local snake population.
