I have a trail that parallels that 2 track road. I saw them pull in and tucked back behind the brush to see what they were up to. The road is closed to the west (towards the right), so people constantly stop and back up into another trail head that's an entrance to my place. This guy backed up, then spun the crap out of his tires getting himself out. This already had me a little miffed.
Then I saw him get out and enter my property for a couple minutes (claims he was peeing). The jump cut misses me busting him in that lie because the camera timed out. This wouldn't normally be an issue, but I legitimately have a shiny new 'no trespassing' sign every 30ft, and every single tree on the property line has purple paint on it. Also, he could just as easily pee on the public land on the other side of the road.
I initially assumed they were mushroom hunters, who IMO are some of the most egregious trespassers. He headed East down the road looking at the ditch line and I thought he was just looking for mushrooms. I tailed him on my trail keeping a bit of distance so he didn't hear me but close enough to keep an eye on him. I really only thought I was going to have to tell him to get lost if he decided to hunt shrooms on my place.
I lost sight of him for a minute but then heard that banging sound and thought, 'wtf is that'. Got closer so I could see him and it dawned on me what he was doing. At that point, I was raging. That's where the video takes over.
Good thing he was a b****. He is in way better shape than I am and had he decided to get mouthy back, I might have been in trouble.
! Good on you for standing your ground... you handled yourself very well. Also at the end when he ask you how many acres you got? Did you answer "Enough"?
