I have a 2015 700-4 that is using oil don’t seem to be burning it but can’t find a leak. It has about 9600 miles on it. I have put about 300 miles since oil change and I have had to add probably 2 quarts since.

Not normal. You’re either burning it off through the rings or valve seals or your leaking it out from somewhere. If nothing is visible, try doing a compression test. With that many miles you may need to look at a top end rebuild.

It would be blowing smoke big time if it was burning that much oil.

I better not need a top end build at that low of miles....

Meh...mine had 8900 and didn't use a drop, so personally, I'd be irked. BUT...depends on how it was used, I guess.

OP

I leak down test would be ideal. That much oil consumption def should be smoking, BUT...it seems like catalytic converter equipped vehicles never seen to show oil smoke as bad for whatever reason.

Have you checked in the airbox for signs? Also...the water pump does have an oil seal. If it failed, all the oil might go out the weep tube and never leave any sign on the machine.

I’ve checked the air box no sign of a problem could the valve adjustment cause this kind of problem no smoking that I can tell.
