Brand new to this. Given the small amount of space for a 520, what are the must-have tools and fluids to carry on my rig? 14mm and 17mm socket?

Oil and diff fluid for top offs?

If you check all fluids before you leave you should be ok,not much breaks on the 500. A tire plug kit and a way to inflate tires or a spare tire would be a good idea. There is a whole thread about it somewhere on the site. A tow rope to drag home all the non Honda utvs that break along the trail could earn you some free beer.

Ya as its a brand new machine and I had battery issues right off the bat I have a home depot black box with stuff in it. First it may depend on what you are doing. We like trails and gravel roads. So my box has a come-along as ours doesn't have a winch. Also a tow strap that could wrap around a tree. It's spring and trails just opened but alot of debrief so I put in my Christmas tree saw. First aid kit a tire kit and tire pump. Also I have a tool kit with 2 screw drivers sockets and Allen's. The box is nice to throw the cooler and thermos in. Most important tool to have baby wipes they always help get you out of a s***ty situation

I carry that (not the come-along) plus extra straps, snatch block and a shackle. Folding lug wrench, folding shovel, and a jump pack. Cheap ponchos, bug spray, flashlight, zip ties, bungies and we always have baby wipes. Have used it all at one time or another, usually for other people.
