Changed my oil. What a PITA that was btw. There is a vent right above the oil filter housing (pic attached) that turns down with a rubber hose attached that runs about 6-8 inches down that ends just above the skid plate. Is this a crankcase vent? While running I can't feel any air coming out or suction. Should that hose be routed upward so no water can enter crossing a creek or stream? Skid plate level is pretty shallow considering.

That is the water pump wheep hole, it's should only leak coolant if the internal mechanical seal has failed.

The crankcase vent goes directly to the airbox only.
