P1000 Limp mode?

I have a 2018 P1K5, and several times now on longer rides, it will get stuck in 1st gear, and the power steering warning lite will flash. It seems to reset if I shut it off for awhile. Temp is 2 bars.
Are these 2 related? or are they 2 separate issues?
TIA for any advice.

Does the one in gear position flash. If so count them long is 10 short is 1. That might give you an error code to help track down the problem

I have a 2017 P1K5 and I'm having the same exact issue. Cant figure it out yet.. very frustrating

There’s gonna be two separate issues one it’s fuel injector wire harness at connector shorting out. Then this effectively may have caused the ECM under drivers seat to go bad
I have had the exact same issues and when I replace these two items it seems to resolve the issues

anyone find the root cause to this? I have a Pioneer 1000 LE - I have the same intermittent issue on longer rides, slower speeds, high temps under the seat, but only 2 bars heat showing. Unit will either kick down to 1st or I will notice it does not shift up. unit will not shift in Auto or manual - shut it down and cool for ~5-10 min. starts up and shifts fine. I usually pick up speed to get more air flow through the machine and I do not have the issue come back. I wonder if the ECM is getting too hot? but the fuel injector theory may have merit if the temp is causing an eco limp when it gets hot. Just putting it out there before throwing more $ at the machine

I have had the same problem with my Pioneer, (2018 1000-5 LE). Long slower pace rides cause the UTV to go into limp mode or stay in 1st gear. After cooking down things seen to run fine.
