And not necessarily in that order. Lots of great ones mentioned. Might be a western movie night this weekend!

So...any fans of more recent stuff?

I really liked the remake of 3:10 to Yuma. The desert in snow is always worth seeing.

Bone Tomahawk? Liked it myself. More of a horror western and a bit slow moving at times.

Hateful 8. Quentin Tarantino film, so if you like him, you'll probably like it. To me he's like a rookie pitcher with electric stuff...and then outta nowhere he hits the bull. So to me, it had its moments...but I'd say overall it was OK at best.

The new Magnificent 7 was ok, older stuff was easier to watch because you had actual BAMFs like Audie Murphy as actors.

What? You didn't like the cinematic masterpiece known as cowboys and aliens?

Watched the newly released Hostiles a few days ago. Wes Studi and Christian Bale.

Somebody called it the Saving Private Ryan of westerns, but didn't think is was any better than OK. Really the typical Hollywood lib "whites were so evil" guilt movie, though it does not try to imply that such behaviour was absent from the Natives as some do. Dark and tense.

I'm old school Duke all the way. Sorry for breaking the rules @DGRider. I picked Josey in the poll but a top pick for me must include Rio Bravo!

No rules here. Just opinions.
The poll was added later by a mod to help tally.

Probably nowhere near the best but I enjoyed the Quick and the Dead. Sharon Stone was hot.

I would have to say Josey Wells in my favorite .
