Need a more turf friendly tire

Just took delivery of my yellow P500 on Wednesday 8-27 and I am a new member.
Most of my activity will be on my 3 acres of mostly grass, and pushing snow on the driveway. I've already noticed the stock Maxxis are pretty rough on the lawn with anything close to a tight turn (in two wheel drive), and I need some advise. I wanted to go to 26" tires, but I'm not finding what I think might work.
Here is what I have in mind:
Wheels: 12" STI HD3 machined wheels, 12HD300 with 5 + 2 offset. 7" rim, for front and rear, compared to factory 12"; front 6" w/4.5 +1.5 and rear 7.5" w/6 +1.5.
Tires: Carlisle All Trail, front 25 x 8-12 (25.07"OD) or 25 x 9-12 (25.60" OD) and rear 25 x 10.5-12 (24.80" OD) or 25 x 11-12 (25.5" OD). My preference (to get the largest diameter) is to go with the 25 x 9 and 25 x 11, but the 11 calls for a 9" rim width while all others call for the 7" rim. Does anyone see a problem with the rim width?
I've been reading that the All Trail tires still provides good overall traction (I won't be mudding) and are a lot easier on the turf, and makes for a smooth/quite ride.
Comments and advise, please. If there are other good turf tires, 25-26" diameter, please point me.

there is not many choices in turf tires the carlisles look to be about the best ones there is no atv wheels that are 9in wide 8inches is as wide as they make them the 7in wheels are the aftermarket standard size and the tires will work fine on them

I've seen some reviews of the Kenda K572 Road Go saying that they give pretty good off road traction and are easy on the grass. I've only seen pictures of the Road Go, and it looks to me like it's more of a street/hard surface type tire (Road Go?), but maybe it would work. Does anyone have any experience with that tire?

Well I did it, just ordered tires and wheels: SDI HD3 machined 12", 5-2, with chrome lugs and valve stems, for $275.80 total, free shipping. Carlisle All Trail 25 x 9 - 12 fronts ($95.00 each) and 25 x 11 - 12 rears ($108.00 each), for $ 406.00 total, free shipping. For a total of $682.80 for the package (plus $10.00 each for local mounting), I think I did alright based on all my research.

Please let us know how you like those tires. I need to do the same thing. The OEM tires on my new P500
are tearing up the turf at my lake home. Would love to see some pictures of your new setup.

The tires and wheels were on my front porch when I got home yesterday. I took them to Walmart this morning for mounting. They did an excellent job, not a single scratch inside or out and they were done with all four in about 30 - 45 minutes max. And.....the charge was $5.00 per tire/wheel. I had checked with several local powersport shops and they wanted about $20.00 per tire to mount, the $10.00 earlier bid fell through, as the guy said he couldn't guarantee that he would not scratch or gouge the rims (Blah!).
I should be making the switch tomorrow, when the temps are in the 70's instead of today's 90's. I plan to take before and after photos and will post them when I figure it out.
For now, I like the looks (wheels and tires). There is still plenty of tread there for traction. They are not like the Carlisle Turfmaster tires I have on my lawn mowers, but certainly less aggressive than the Maxxis factory tires. Hopefully, a good compromise between the two, and time will tell if they are "turf friendly".

That's great your WM would mount them. And for 20 total that's not a bad deal. Ya I would like to see before and after pictures. Be nice of you could get them in the same spot, same angle for a good compression of them.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to mount the new tires/wheels and get the photos I promised.....my nuts are too small!
Apparently, I either didn't do enough research to know, or I wasn't paying close attention to the written word. When I ordered, I saw 4 x 110 and "Honda" (what I missed was Rincon) and that was good enough for me so I "put them in my cart". When I was getting everything prepared to make the switch, I found what came with the wheels were M10 x 1.25 lug nuts that were obviously not going to fit. After a little digging I found the correct size to be M12 x 1.5. A set is now on order and should be here towards the week end, stay tuned.
In the mean time, I'm going to have to figure out the installation (since no instructions were provided or posted yet) of the Pioneer labeled floor mat, probably self explanatory.

I guess we need to do a better job informing people adout the lugs. I actually almost asked you about them last week to make sure but I didn't.

Here is the instructions for the floor mat on the 500. It's more complicated then I expected. Didn't know it was a mounted mat.

I kinda got us off the topic of the original post, but I do appreciate your response with the instructions.
I guess it is sort of self explanatory....if no holes exist, you have to drill them! But, It's good to see that Honda endorses drilling holes into their product.
It would seem that the floor mat accessory was an afterthought by Honda, or they would have put all the holes with plugs in there to begin with. It would have been easier and they would not have had to concern themselves with the possibility of a "careless installer" drilling through a brake line!

Great job on the Before and After pictures. This will work great for people having the same issue of turf damage!
Many people think must give up all the tread for a turf tire. This shows you don't. Those tires should work find for the casual trail rider and a great "around the yard" machine.

I really like the look of your new setup and I plan to do something the same
or similar.

Could you comment if you notice any difference in the ride, and the footprint the
new tires leave on your lawn.

Thank you, Hondasxs and Snowbird for the nice comments.
After switching the lug nuts out yesterday, I've only had limited time to "test" the tires, but the short answer is they are smoother and less noisy when riding on pavement and appear to be easier on the turf. Still need to be a little careful on tight turns as the tread is still more aggressive than the true "turf intended" tires on my zero turns and lawn tractor (and even they can scrub the grass down to dirt level on a true "zero turn"). With the locked rear axle, that is just the nature of the beast, if you have tread affording any degree of traction. If you click on an end view photo and get a larger view of the tread, you can see it is a fairly open design. It's not going to be a tire for mudding or lose sand, but for most trail, yard/field, hard surface riding and snow pushing, I'm thinking they will be just fine. Traction is not a problem. How they wear and hold up only time will tell, for me they should last a long time.
