Tried to hijack another thread on here, with no luck. Replaced battery and getting 13 volts on it. Solenoid tests out ok. Volts drop to 5-7 when trying to start, so it sounds like starter. Not sure where the starter is located though. I'm probably gonna have to remove the passenger seat along with the center console, but I was wondering if there was a short cut. Any help is much appreciated. Honda dealership wants $300 plus part, and I am pretty sure it's not gonna be that hard, as I've put on several vehicle starters.

Thanks, I've used Google and YouTube, with no luck finding an online manual or how to video. I may have to break down and purchase a service manual.

Man...... they do not want you to do this yourself! I'm pretty handy. I'm by no means a maintenance man, but I do work with the maintenance crew at work during shut down and PM. I've replaced many vehicle starters, alternators, transmissions, rear ends, all the regular parts that need a change on regular basis, and even a motor. This is definitely a challenge. I finally got it off, but it took a while. Once I got a pry bar that fit between the starter and rear crankcase, it was pretty easy. Had to take both seats and all the plastic under them off. The downloaded manual didn't really help much, other than giving me the location of the starter and bolts.

Took the starter apart. Magnets are gone! Brushes were worn uneven. 41a4448fc59ab1c676a3532c372138ad564d97746f6e18b6a62f2a57a5dbd40d

New starter came today. It went on much faster than it came off! That was the problem. Cranks fine now.
