Can someone confirm that you can put a 12in rim on a Deluxe? Trying to build a spare for our's and it looks like you can get a 12in rim and tire for quite a bit cheaper than a 14in setup.
Thanks!

It can be done without an issue.
I traded the dealer my "deluxe" wheels for a roof and set of 12's.

A 12x7 Beadlock and a 28/10/12 should be a killer combo. A full one inch of extra tire flex should really help on the rocks.

I agree.. I’m running 30’s on 14’s and it’s waaay better than the 28’s I had... I think a 12” wheel on a true to size 28 would be the way to go for a guy that wants to keep close to stock and not swap a arms. I get as much ride quality from the extra side wall as I do the fox shocks.

I picked up an entire set of Can Am Beadlock 27x12 from Delton for spares. Had to put one on at the roundup due to a pinch flat.

Works great, soft ride. If they made a 30 in a 12 inch tire, I would be all over it.

I'm wheel and tire illiterate. Looking to get the Quadboss QBT486 and new rims. Should I stick to 14" rims like the stock on my '16 deluxe or would 12s be fine? Sometimes if I'm going to be way out it'd be nice to bring one of my old stocks so I have a spare tire just in case. I would imagine I should have all the rim sizes the same for that.
Been looking at rims and all these damn numbers are greek to me.
First, in terms of tires, can I do 30x10x14 on all 4? Or should I stick to the 27x9x14 for front and 27x11x14 for rear?
Then, what the hell does 14x7 0+mm mean on rims? Or 14x7 +10? 14x7 5+2? Or any variation thereof? Basically, what damn rim size do I need for those tires? Frustrating as hell! Haha!

28” tire is as large as you’ll want to go on a machine that doesn’t have forward offset a arms. 14x7... wheels height and width. 5+2 is the whee offset. Meaning the spacing from the face of the wheel that bolts to the hub to the rim of the wheel. Think of a bucket and how you could slip it over vs mounting to the bottom and how far it would stick out. Just stick with 5+2 wheels and you’ll be fine. Lastly... you’ll want to be sure the bolt pattern is correct for your machine. My advice to you would be to got to RockyMountainATV.com and choose a wheel you like with the search parameters of your machine and then get the part number for that wheel and search online for the best price.

JTW,
Thanks for the response. Would a 0 offset work? I assume 0 means the hub is directly in the center from front edge to rear edge? I'm just not finding one I like with the 5+2. I may have to settle if a 5+2 is it.
Again, thanks for the help.

If you do the Quadboss QBT846 in a 28x10 on 14x7 5+2 wheels they should look like this

I have fox shocks with stock arms. I never tried them with stock shocks
Well looks like I'm about to try em with stock shocks! Just canceled the 27x9x14 and 27x11x14 and ordered 4 of the 28x10x14.
Thanks for the pic, btw. Exact same rig as mine minus the front bumper. Well, and fox shocks apparently. Same windshield and everything else looks-wise though. That gave me the perfect shot of what mine will look like.
