All this talk about 300EX's.... Apparently they are worth big bucks these days!! Here is mine.
2005, completely original. Been in storage for years. Just got out and installed new battery. Just adjusted the chain for the first time. Original tires, every sticker is intact, original grips. There are are couple pinholes in the seat but it's not torn. Plastic is all perfect. Heat tape under rear fender is still there. The machine has not been cleaned up in any way in these pictures. Once I get 20 mins to shine it up, it will look brand new. There is rust here and there on the frame from being in storage. Saturday I removed the fuel tank to empty it and flush it out good. Rode it all day sunday.

If anyone is serious about buying it, message me. Is $3000 a reasonable asking price?

Ahh. Very far from me. Good luck with the sale. That's a good price.

Thanks.... It was super cool riding trails on Sunday with it. Takes me back to when I was a kid. All my buddies had them when we were in junior high. One of my friends still rides his, 20 years later. I probably won't end up selling it unless someone really wants it.

When's the last time Honda made these?
Not exactly sure... 2005 is close to the end of this style with the rounded fenders. Around 07 or 08 they went to the more modern looking pointy fenders on these and the 400's

It looks like the 300EX was made from 1993 to 2008.
But the 300EX was based heavily on the 250X (1987~88 and 91~92)
The 205X name was regurgitated for the Recon 250 twin in 2011 but the machines are different except for the spelling of the name.

I know a lot of guys grew from boyhood to manhood on a 300EX but to me the 4 stroke sport machines from back in the day drive like tractors.
The newer crop (based on the 450 MX bikes) are better but I'm still hanging on to my 2 strokes.
