Hi guys, I recently brought a 2014 Honda Pioneer 700 -4.

the steering is very sloppy has a dead spot before it turns left and right. Feels like it takes a long time to catch when steering.

When I got a bit it make a bit of a knock and the steering wheel shunts.

Has anyone had this before, I’m thinking it has something to do with the steering rack and there maybe a bush?

thanks Chris

Check the obvious first,
Loose tie rods or ball joints, the u-joints in the steering from the column to the rack and make sure the bolts are tight, lastly the rack.
Is anything bent or looking out of the norm?
You did not mention anything about weird noises or cluncking so I would look at hub bearings last.
Hopefully this helps.

Thanks mate I will look. There is clunking sounds when driving over uneven ground and I can feel it through the steering wheel.

thanks Chris
