2024 Kawasaki Ridge SXS

So Kawasaki unveiled the 2024 Ridge and 2025 Ridge XC line up. The 4 cyl is 999cc not the fanbois rumored 1.5 - 2L and naturally aspirated. Probably the most useful feature shown was the mountain bike rack so you can get back to the truck after breaking something.

Nice, bridging the gap between SXS and pickup is where the market needs to go. I hope Honda is paying attention.

Definitely prefer Honda and believe in the overall dependability especially with the dct but this machine will be taking a bit of business away from Honda as well a few others.

With all the resources Honda has compared to some other brands, one would expect more than bold new graphics every year.

You know I sometimes look at the Tundra and see how little was changed for so many years but they were bulletproof. They finally catch up to the others with the new truck and it was plagued with problems. Well not as many as other manufacturers but for Toyota it was thick.
There is something to be said about slow manufacturing and slightly perfecting it rather then new model every year.

There is something to be said about slow manufacturing and slightly perfecting it rather then new model every year.

The Japanese companies have been doing that for years. For example, Civic, Camry, slowly perfecting them. Unlike American companies that scrap the entire platform every couple of years.

I really don't think Honda cares enough about the SXS division or the North American market in general. They kinda know where their bread and butter is.

Honda is not paying attention, I'm certain. We will get the same SXS models for at least another 10 years.

That Kawi is a NICE looking machine to compete with the General and Commander.

I just noticed that someone finally put the gas tank fill line on the DRIVER side!! It's a real pain to drive a trailer to the gas station and have to turn everything around to top off machines after filling up the truck.

Went out to Kawasaki's website and viewed the videos they have posted. Looks like this model will give the high end Polaris and CanAms some real competition. The interior and instrumentation looks like a current pickup truck. It has a CVT transmission.
Interesting...... but not for me...
