I recently purchased a green 1000-5, and I want to add new wheels and tires. I'm leaning towards 28" Maxxis Zillas 28/9-14 front, 28/11-14 rear on ITP SS212 or SS316 wheels. I've had good luck with Zillas in 27" on my previous atv. Primary use is duck hunting in flooded fields and timber/ cypress swamps and food plot management.

First- I know the bolt pattern is 4x136mm, but is everyone using 4x137mm pattern aftermarket wheels?

Second- the ITP SS212 14" wheels come in 6" wide front and 8" wide rears. The SS316 is 7" wide only. The factory wheels are wider in the rear, and since I want a "skinny/wide" tire setup, would the 6"/8" wheels be better?

Anyone else using a similar setup? Any other advice?

i have 30 inch outback max on mine and it rides really smooth and handles them very well, with the 30's we also put on highlfter front a arms and it moved the wheels 2.5 inches forward

Are those 14x7 wheels? With a 4x137 bolt pattern? I just want to confirm that people are using 4x137mm wheels on their P1000 before I buy some.

Did you install a lift to clear those 30" outbacks or just the arched forward highlighter arms?

Im looking to do the same. I cant lift the bike due to my toy hauler clearance. Do they rub at all? How does the bike handle the 30's in the thick mud?

We have ours in a inclosed trailer it is a tight fit we want to do the lift kit also but to do that were going to have to chop the top, the sxs turns the 30's no problems

Ok thanks for you input, this will help me. Also do the tires rub on the fenders at full turn?

Update:

I put a set of Zillas on my P1K5. I went with 28"x9"-14 front, 28"x11"-14 rear on 14x6 (4+2) front, 14x8 (5+3) rear ITP 212 black wheels. Everything fit great and tire are an inch taller that stock black stones.

However when I put the full Trail Armor skid plate on, I had to trim about a 1.5"x 8" out of the wheel well part of the skid.
